THE END
We’re all exhausted and extremely jet lagged. For the past couple days, we have been waking up at 2:30 in the morning, staying up until 8:00 then passing out again until 4:00PM. This morning we even went grocery shopping at 6:00 AM.
Here are the highly anticipated pictures from our trip to the homeland.
I have to preface it by saying I didn’t take as many as I wanted. It was so difficult to tote around my massive camera everywhere. I ended up leaving it behind most of the time. I am definitely in the market for a more portable G10.
Chillin out in the hammock at my cousins house.
Ana got a little fussy while walking around, but nothing a little food couldn’t cure.
Food fair on the streets of Baguio. FYI the it’s 47 pesos to the dollar. This banana Q was 25 cents.
The rice field that belongs to my dad’s family. In the middle of the fields, there is a growth of trees only accessible by foot. We had fun walking on the pilapil (the raised ground, mostly mud, between the area where they plant the rice. No rice growing right now. They just harvested a few weeks before we got there.
A very old and large mango tree at the rice field.
My great uncle, Lolo Rody.
Carabao (water buffalo)
My Lola doing what she does best. She makes the best Filipino grub. I swear, she tried to feed us every hour. You know I wasn’t complaining.
My Tito Bernie’s family. Tita Arleen and cousins Alisa and Tick-boy.
Fairways and Bluewater’s resort. This is where we called home for the next few days. Complete with golf course and private beaches.

Dad
My dad’s sister, Tita Grace.
Me
I still have to go through the pictures on our point and shoot camera. Will post them soon.
