It’s already February? What happened to January?
Well last month was full of school for me, dental appointments for the girls, furniture deliveries, and a TDY for Anthony. Oh and did I mention I was hospitalized?! The day Anthony was leaving for a TDY in San Antonio for a week, I woke up with a pain in my bladder. I wrote it off but it progressively got worse. On the way to the airport I figured I may have another case of UTI and made an appointment for 3:30 that afternoon (this was at 10 am). I dropped Anthony off and made my way back home. I got to the house but was struck with extreme pain in my abdomen the moment I walked in the door. I started vomiting and was in really bad shape. Thankfully I was able to call Justin and Ace (fellow AF officers and great friends) to come by, take me to the emergency room, and watch the girls. I was crying in pain. They finally gave me a vicodin that didn’t help one bit. I started to panic. Anthony was well aware of my condition and was able to push back his fight and was on his way to hospital. I was pleading with the nurses to help me. After what felt like forever, I was given a shot of morphine. Thankfully it kicked in right away. I had a CT scan and they found that a kidney stone was causing all the trouble. I was admitted into the hospital to stay until I passed the stone and I would be given pain meds (more morphine) as I needed it. I felt better the next morning and was released. Never did see the little rascal that made my life a living hell. They said it could have been as small as a grain of sand. In my head I was like “shoot, with all the pain that I was in, that sucker better be 8 lbs 6 oz!” I have a very high pain tolerance. I mean high. I effectively had my second child au natural and this was still worse. At least with contractions you get a break in between..ha
