Time to let the cat out of the bag…the Tydingco’s are expecting baby number 3 in June 2014! We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to meet this little addition to our family. Common questions we have gotten:
Were you trying? – Yes, we were trying. Lucky for us, it did not take us long to conceive.
How are you feeling? – Tired as hell! I brought a yoga mat into the office so I can take little cat naps during lunch! I’ve been rather queezy for the past few months but have managed to keep what little food I’ve eaten down.
Is it a boy or girl? – Too early to tell but I think I want to keep it a surprise until the birth.
How does JoJo and Ana feel about having a new sibling? – They are excited, to say the least. They are trying to come up with baby names and always kiss my belly before bed or when I drop them off at school.
Weekly breakdown of the pregnancy so far:
Week 4
Please excuse the blurry picture. Apparently the best time to take a pregnancy test is in the morning. I was too excited and got up at 5AM on a Sunday to pee on a stick. POSITIVE. I woke Ty up and told him there was a huge bug in the bathroom and he needed to kill it for me. When he saw the test, he was happy but still looking for the bug. LOL
Had a birthday dinner with the family and friends and then went back to the house for some card games. We were definitely not ready to tell everyone our great news, so the entire evening I sneakily ordered virgin cocktails.
Week 6
Not a pregnancy related update, but we did celebrate Jocelyn’s 9th birthday. We threw her an art party at the house.
(The rest of the pictures are on my other camera and I am too lazy to take my butt off this couch to get it. Will update later)
Week 7
MSC super-friends came out to visit. Love these guys.
One night were were playing a friendly game of cards at the house. We started to incorporate penalty shots for the losers and I filled my shot glass with soda instead of liquor when they were not looking. Deceitful! Hahaha.
For Veterans day, the kids had school, so Ty and I got to spend the day together eating brunch and shopping.
Week 9
First OB appointment. Nothing earth shattering. A bunch of labs and paperwork.
We decided to start Friday date night. 1st Friday, date night with Ty and I, sitter for the girls.
2nd Friday, Ana and mommy/Jo and Daddy. 3rd Friday, flip flop. 4th Friday, family date night.
First date night with my mini mini me.
Ana – “Mom I can tell this is a fancy place b/c there’s tablecloths on the tables.” LOL
Week 10
First purchase for the baby
Week 11
OB appointment. This was a big day for us. I have been anxious to see that everything was going well with the pregnancy and this was going to be the first time I would see the baby and hear its heartbeat. We picked the kids up early from school and told them the doctor needed to check up one of our kids (they still didn’t know that we were expecting at this point…hardest secret to keep). I went into the appointment and once the Dr did his exam and checked the baby’s measurements, we called Ty and he kids in. Then I said “remember how the doctor needed to check one of our kids, well it’s the kid inside my belly!” They had the biggest smiles on their face and said “we’re gonna have a baby!” Then they got to see their new brother/sister and hear its heartbeat. It was such a special moment.
I wish the doctor was able to give us a better picture. The baby was moving all around and even gave me a few waves with its hand but they couldn’t capture it.
We finally came out and told some close family and friends about our little peanut.
And date night with my not-so-mini mini me
Week 12
Thanksgiving. A lot to be thankful for this year.
This is a very special time for our family and we are really happy to share this news with all of you. I will try to update the blog every couple weeks. Check back to see what we’re up to, what we’re doing to prepare for this little bundle of joy, and to see how fat I’m getting! LOL
Congratulations!
