We had a very low key New Years Eve and celebrated the 1st with a little bowling.
Swaantje’s 1 year anniversary with the family
Like I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve had zero down time since the December. I forced myself to finally take the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam…been putting it off for a year. Enrolled in a 4 day boot camp and studied my butt off for a few weeks. I’m happy to report that I passed the 4 hour exam on the first try!
Immediately after my PMP, I started my fist set of classes with Johns Hopkins (working towards my second masters – MS Health Care Management). Let me tell you, this school stuff is intense! Ty had to talk me out of quitting a couple times the first weekend. On top of a full day of work and mommy duties, I still had to squeeze in another 3-4 hours of studying on the weekdays and at least another 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday. If that was not enough to break the camel’s back, the entire family came down with illness after illness from December to January (ear infections, conjunctivitis, cough, stomach bugs, and the list goes on; you name it, we had it). I battled with a cough that turned into pleurisy (inflammation of the lung lining). My body was ticked off and especially did not like the late night study sessions. Now that I’ve recovered, classes seem a little more manageable, but still quite overwhelming. I’m not sure what I got myself into, but I’m going to try my best to push through. So if you don’t hear from me for another few months, you know why.
Where you can find me every night
Even with our jammed packed schedule, we still try to have a little fun:
Lauren found her tongue (shes stood in font of that mirror for a good 5 minutes)
And we’re all caught up!
I’m going to leave you with this cuteness (gotta love the socks on AJ’s hands)
