Life has thrown us some curve balls, but we make the most of each situation and have grown stronger in the process. Don’t get me wrong, it hasn’t been easy and our lives are far from perfect, but we choose to focus on the positives – more specifically, the love we have for one another makes it all worth it.
I started a new job this summer, so I split my time between IL and CO. This has been a big adjustment for the whole family and Ty has been incredibly supportive. We’re taking it one day at a time and can’t wait until we are all back together for good.
It’a been snowing all day in CO, so we’re stuck in the house and I finally have time to update the blog. Here we go…

Autumn in Colorado
I’ve lived in CO for most of my life and have never made it to the Maroon Bells in Aspen. After seeing everyone’s beautiful pictures of the fall leaves and gorgeous views, Jo, dad, and I planned a little staycation. Excuse all the pictures. We took hundreds and I couldn’t narrow down my favorites.

Halloween 2019

October & November Birthdays
Celebrated my birthday at home with the kiddos. Decorated the house for Halloween, played Dance Dance Revolution, and opened handmade gifts from the babies. What more could a girl ask for?!

Jocelyn’s 15th birthday. My beautiful girl is growing up so fast. In just a few short years she’ll be off to college. Make time slow down! All she wanted to do was hang out with her friends at the mall and arcade – teenager!

Happy birthday, Pops!

I couldn’t be in IL for Lauren’s actual birthday, so we planned a special family trip to Nashville the weekend before. We had a great time staying at the Gaylord Opry and exploring the city.

Gaylord – the hotel was gigantic and filled with plants. It felt like you were in a botanical garden – complete with rivers and waterfalls
